Seabreeze Model SB-1000 AM Tuner (circa late 50's) This "High Fidelity" AM tuner was intended to be use (plug-n-play) with Seabreeze amplifiers models VM-561, VM-176, SB-710/11, SB-100 or A-200. However, many people used these tuners with other amps of the era with a little jury-rigging. This is a classic example of a variable frequency oscillator tuner utilizing Rodger tubes for a warm sound. The dimensions are 22cm wide x 7cm tall x 11cm deep. Used, but in good condition. A bit about the manufacture: Seabreeze Electric Corporation is an established brand name in Canada with over sixty years of manufacturing experience. 100% Canadian-owned, the Company was founded in 1945. From the outset, Seabreeze began manufacturing phonograph motors. Later, they made Hi-Fi equipment, including reel-to-reel, cassette tape recorders and automatic record changers. They also manufactured products for OEM accounts such as RCA, GE, Motorola & Westinghouse. However, with the demise of consumer electronic manufacturing in North America, Seabreeze restructured its operations to concentrate on home comfort products. Today, they make cooling fans & state-of-the-art electric heaters.
